May we redefine the term?
After all, an art-ist is one who passionately performs an action. Of course there are negative connotations to the suffix, i.e. racist, but here we will focus on the positive aspects.
A gynecologist’s interest in the female organ led them to expertise in the area. A feminist is so passionate about female rights that she spends much of her energy on the plight. A machinist is a mechanical specialist. A guitarist loves the guitar so much, that they spend countless hours with their hands and fingers on the instrument.
So… are you a Sexist?
